We are proudly inclusive.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
At Watch Me Grow Early Learning Centre we had a mural painted by the talented Amanda Wright. Each room in our centre is represented in the design through four native Australian plants (Lilly Pilly, Banksia, Waratah & Wattle). The artwork features the word ‘Wominjeka’ which means ‘Welcome’. The artwork is located at the front of our centre to make a statement and symbolise our emerging connection with the local community as we begin our journey working towards reconciliation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Thank you Amanda for creating a beautiful design and we hope to continue to work with you in the future!
